Positive: The hotel is perfectly located for the train station and tram stops. We dropped off a hire car at the station and walked the short distance to the hotel. Decent bathroom. Friendly staff including a very strong young lady who carried one of our heavy cases up two flight’s of stairs. Early breakfast to facilitate an early departure to catch the 8.30 train to Paris.

Negative: No lift. The hotel decor is a little tired so calling it a boutique hotel is stretching the definition. The breakfast options were decent but lacked the quality we would expect for the price paid. Noise from lorries accessing the station from 5 am.

Summary: Ideal hotel for an early train but don’t expect a boutique experience.
