Positive: This is a very decent, well priced, no frills provincial hotel. The staff were amiable, without being effusive; it's great that they have their own gated parking; and its location is ideal - just a few minutes walk from the centre. We liked the town very much with its many picturesque old houses, found a couple of very decent book shops, and much enjoyed meandering, although it was very cold! Good choice of bars and eateries also, we had a very nice and reasonably priced dinner at L'Ilustre, where the staff were most welcoming and allowed us to bring our hound despite the sign on the door. In all a great place for a relaxed overnight stay.
