Summary: This was my second stay at the hotel. The first time was in 2019. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The area is gorgeous and very convenient to the train station. (bring earplugs if you need to sleep late) The rooms are clean and very basic. I'm not very picky. I slept well there and it met all my basic needs. They could go very far with some updates that would make the rooms look cleaner, such as the linoleum flooring that was peeling up in one room. The mattress in my room was very firm, the comforter and pillows were a scratchy polyester feel and the pillows were wimpy. The towels are a little scratchy.
I will be happy to come and stay again because I like the staff, the price is right and it is very convenient for visiting my family.

Summary: La tour d'Ivoire
What a Hotel! My family of 5 (3 kids, and 2 adults) stayed here because we were visiting all of Switzerland and Geneva was our first stop. First, it was incredibly convenient to be near the SBB train tracks about a two-minute walk from the hotel. check-in was quick, Brian helped us at the desk and spoke fluent English. Our rooms were clean, with a beautifully painted landscape mural on the wall. The bathroom had all the amenities and was also very clean, I told Brian at the front desk that we collect reusable shopping/tote bags from cities we travel to, and by the end of the day, Brian was able to procure one of France and gave it to us free of charge. Also, a 5-minute walk away is a supermarket if you need to purchase anything with a standup pizza food cart in the parking lot as well, I had to go there to buy a cell phone charger outlet adaptor. The store was closed but again, Brian to the rescue with his personal phone charger we borrowed till the next day and going the extra mile by getting us plates and napkins for my family to eat the pizza in the room. The next morning was also grand with the included breakfast with locally acquired cheeses, Fresh bread, Pancakes, cereal, yogurt, and pastries some with chocolate, sliced meat milk, water, juice, and COFFEE. Brian was up early setting up breakfast and I got to talking with him, turns out he's the Owner and is from the U.S. as well! This place will treat you like Family.

Summary: I was very happy with my stay at Le Tour D’Ivoire by the end. I will stay there again. The rooms are clean, the beds a little hard but some people like that. The restaurant/bar was open almost every night, when the rest of the town was closed, so i really appreciated that! The only minus was that most of the rooms smell at least a little like smoke, or strong cologne to try to mask the odor. Two nights in a row I was awakened late by the fire alarm going off because someone was smoking in their room or the hallway. The owners are very kind. There is a small breakfast there, but not included in the room price.
Call me Goldilocks I guess, I was able to try 3 different rooms, so I have a different perspective than some travelers! The first room I stayed was in the updated building, with a small kitchenette. Unfortunately that building is not air conditioned, so the summer heat got the best of me. Also, the windows opened too publicly, so if I wanted to sleep with the windows open people could see right into me sleeping on the bed 4 feet away from where they walk up the stairs. The owners were great, offered me two different options in the older building with a/c. The 2nd room, on the first floor, was fine, with a sweet mountain mural painted on the wall. However the paint near the floor was peeling on the corners, there was a bit of a bathroom odor. I noticed all of the rooms have a little water damage on the ceiling next to the a/c vent. The 3rd room was just right!

Summary: Nice hotel and we had the room with the loft. Only issue is no a/c or fans upstairs so got a little warm if it is a hot day. Breakfast was ok.

Summary: Everything was great apart from the fact that people at the reception didn’t speak English. We solved that with a help of our french friend but someone else might have not been so lucky to have translator. The studio was perfect and all was very clean.
