Summary: This hotel is in a good location but the price is insane for what you get. A sauna is mentioned in the listing but the price list at the front desk advised of a surcharge associated to its use. I understand the Christmas markets drive up the price at this time of year but I was generally disappointed with my stay. The single room was absolutely miniscule, even by European standards, and offered nothing in the way of amenities. The blanket on my bed was visibly stained when I arrived (gross) and when I pointed it out to the receptionist, I was basically sneered at and gaslighted into thinking it wasn’t there (it absolutely was). I was also told that “I wouldn’t need it” when I asked for another and that it was just for decoration. I can tell you that I wasn’t left feeling confident in the cleaning standards of a hotel that doesn’t wash their bedding or particularly cared for by the staff. Also, they were right that I didn’t need it because the room was sweltering but I couldn’t sleep with the window open because of the surrounding street noise at all hours of the night.
