Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The staff were extremely pleasant and exceptionally good, able to provide directions to key shopping sites. The location was near the 2 main train stations and many attractions.

Negative: The room I was assigned was the smallest I had during my entire stay in Europe, tiny, tiny. I don't know if this is the norm due to the location in the old section of an historical city. As a visitor without unlimited funds I need to balance preferred ambience, facilities, comfort, location, quality of staff and cost. I obviously didn't research room size as a more important component in this mix, here in Lille.

Summary: Superb staff at a great location. Expect tight quarters. This is an old city.
