Summary: We had such a wonderful time at this beautiful property in a stunning location! It really is a special place and we’d love to come back again.Just a couple of things to mention that might help future guests: bed linen and towels aren’t included (we only found this out the week before and ended up paying extra for linen). The billiards table is actually French billiards rather than a pool table (also mentioned in listing - would recommend removing this) which our younger family members were a bit disappointed about. The house is lovely, but there are quite a lot of personal belongings in the wardrobes and cupboards, so space for hanging longer clothes is a little limited as rails are provided along with drawers. The bathrooms were all clean and in good order, though the kitchen could have been a touch cleaner. Luckily the weather was amazing, so we spent most of our time outside enjoying the sunshine, walks, and the river for kayaking.All in all, it’s a really happy, memorable place to stay — we made some lovely memories here and would definitely love to return! The history of the area itself and the house is fascinating. Anyone looking to book here won’t be disappointed. Whilst some people have commented on it being rural, it is around 15 minutes walk to the train station to get to Nantes and there are plenty of other places to visit on foot or by car
